I know its a simple thing but Im not sure if my shifter **** is just really tight or if it reverse threaded. Is there a certain way it needs to be screwed off, is there a key in the thread or anything. Just want to make sure so i do it right and don't screw any thing up.

Just grip it tight and twist it counterclockwise and it will come off. It will be tight from the locktite the factory put on it.
