Default Viper input shaft????

I've heard that the viper input shaft is stronger than the f-body. Is this true? Does any modding need to be done to make it work? Is there a certain year I should look for?

Thanks.

I dont know about the input shaft, but the OUTPUT shaft is stronger. (30 spline) If the input shaft is stronger, I dont know how to make it work in your car. The shaft is about 1/2" longer. I bought a Viper T56 for my TTLS1 Chevelle. Im putting a McLeod housing on it, and it comes with a 1/2" spacer so the longer shaft will work. Maybe you could change the shaft and use a spacer??? Oh, you will also need longer dow pins, which they also have under another part number.
