LS7/LS2 combo results
well, after installing my D1SC procharger kit on my '02 Pontiac Trans am WS6 I knew installing a new clutch and doing some drivetrain upgrades is a must. I went ahead and got my tranny built by Bobby's Transmission of Kinston,NC where we went with carbon fiber syncros and viper shift forks. As the car sits, I have just over 300 miles in city driving and it holds great! Initially, the clutch release point was EXTREMELY low and as I drove it and put about 50+ miles on it the clutch point returned to about the stock point. I have heard quite a few people installing these as stock replacements but no one that I have seen or read about is netting more than 380rwhp. As it stands I have dynoed and produced 490rwhp. I will post as things progress but as it stands, if any of you are looking for a good stock-style clutch that will hold good power on the STREET, I would highly recommend this application.
