Well I was at the track tonight and 3 times out of 3 the car WOULD NOT go into 3rd gear. I am not shifting WOT but shifting quickly. I never had a problem before I am curious if this is a 3-4 shiftfork problem. The car is a 2000 formula firebird.

Any input is appreciated as I am lost when it comes to diagnosing manual transmission problems....Thanks.

Either a bent shift fork or you need to do the drill mod.

I raced the car last year with no shifting problems though. I was able to rip all gears without a second though. If it's any help I run a textralia clutch sans drill mod.

Id do the drill mod and go from there. Do the free things first.

i had the same problem did the drill mod and it worked like a charm
