Default New LS7 Clutch: What do I need???

I am about to buy a new LS7 clutch for my 98 Z28 and would like some info from someone who has done this changeover. I know that I need the clutch and pressure plate and I know that I need to buy the flywheel to go with it. But what else do I need to buy and what else comes with the kit. Do I need to get the pilot bearing, throwout bearing from GM separatley or does it come with the kit? What about the flywheel bolts, do they need to be replaced or do the stock LS1 bolts work for it? I am going to get my parts from GM and need to know what else I need to complete the job. what about the line up tool, does it come with the clutch kit? Please help.

Are the master and slave cylinders really necessary? Are they compatable to the LS7 clutch? All of my stuff is stock but works flawlessly. Do the components like the throwout bearing and pilot bearing come in the kit or do you need to order them separatley?

Yes...why chance having the slave go out? Might as well change it all at once. Pilot bearing as well. Dont necessarily have to do the master...but I would recommend that with the drill mod.

Do it once; do it right.

Just like everyone else says, do it once and do it right. I have a '99 that had flawless hydraulics. Decided just to replace the slave when I installed the ls7 clutch since I figured the master was working great. Well, clutch grabbed right on the floor. Figuring it was just air in the system I got too aggressive with the mity vac and ended up blowing the seals on the new slave. Had to go back in, drop the tranny again and replace the slave with another new one, but this time I also replaced with the master cylinder. Clutch now works great, engages like stock, and I can chirp third again. Trust me, upgrade to the newer hydraulics since you have a 98.

Yeah another vote for just do it right. Who wants to R&R a tranny because your slave started leaking. Every time I pull my tranny its $112 for the slave. Plus its piece of mind that your clutch is gonna last, due to proper release etc. Your gonna love that clutch, I do!
