1st and 2nd grind????
Guys,
Just got back from a long trip and now the tranny is giving me problems. When the car is just sitting there idling in nuetral, push the clutch in and try to put the car into 1st and there is slight gear grinding. Going from 1st to 2nd there is the same problem unless you press the clutch in and wait to put it into 2nd.
Checked the tranny fluid tonight and it was low. put in two quarts, buttoned things back up for a little test in the garage and the problem is still there. I guess it might of had a leak that went unoticed. not quite sure how to check the tranny fluid from the top?
any help or suggestions on this would be appreciated.
thanks.

Fill from the overflow hole. When it comes out, you've put in enough.
