does it do this problem whenever you are shifting at higher rpm's (racing or haulin ***) ? if it is, then your answer could be in this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/510788-manual-transmission-faq-look-here-first.html
if not, then have the car checked out as your slave cyl might be leaking or going out.

not up in massachusetts. i would suggest asking some people in your area, that have an ls1 or are car enthusiasts, where a good tranny shop is that can give you an estimate and are very knowledgable/do good work.

Check to see if you have any fluid in the resovoir. If you do, and you can pump the clutch and rebuild some pressure, then I would say you have air in the line.
If you pump the clutch, and you lose fluid and you can't rebuild pressure, I would say your slave cylinder is dead.
First thing, check the fluid level and see where its at and try bleeding the line.

Hey I live in Chelmsford, MA and I'm picking my car up today at the local tranny shop. This sounds like your slave cylinder gone ban, seeing that its a 99 I would have that replaced if I were you, I did today. The place I brought mine to seems like a good place, if you want to get the work done there.
