Default LS7 clutch ?

Alright. I just bought a 98 TA from a member here. It has the LS7 clutch just with under a 100 miles on it. I've already done some searches here and was wondering if it just takes more city miles to get the thing up and bleeding or could it be something else. The car does not go into any gear while the its on. It doesn't really even feel like I have a clutch. I have to turn the car on in first and then it immediatly pulls forward. Then I can shift into 2nd around 2k. Down shifting sucks too. I don't want to break anything, so some input would help. Thanks.

Bleed the system & you should be fine. Don't drive it until its bled properly or you could mess stuff up.

So I've had it bled at a tranny shop, didn't help at all. The car still won't go into gear. The shop said that my flywheel needed to be shimmed. They tried that and still no good. Getting pretty pissed now. Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is new hydralics. But the shop said mine look fine. Like I said before its a 98 so... The car was also swapped from an A4 to a M6. Could something be wrong there? Please Help Me.

are you using 2001 and up hydraulics? I heard the LS7 will not work with the earlier hydraulics.

This is incorrect. When we installed my LS7 clutch kit it bolted right up. No shims. We just installed the clutch kit & a new slave. Let the stock 99' master in, bled it with the mighty vac & it works perfect.

Also how can they say your hydrolice "look" good. If it is indeed the master not givin the slave enough pressure, then they would not know without removing it & possibly even disassembling it.

And with it being converted by the previous owner you never know what they did to make the swap. This might be the reason they sold it.

I'm going to try the hydralics. Should I have the shims taken out? Hopefully that works. If not, I'm sure I'll be posting. Thanks again for the help.
