is it when you accelerate hard or when you press to put in gear? if its when you put it in gear it might be the seal in the throwout bearing that happened to me. if its when you accel it could be the clutch slipping

mine had 67k when i bought it and was slipping i then put a centerforce and got about 15k 2 20k on it. but that was with no track abuse. i now have the spec 3 and no problems with about 15 track passes

Very possible that your slave or master is going. I just did a master and slave on my 98 at 93k miles. The hydraulics on these cars are pretty weak especially with all the slamming around that we do to them. If you do decide to go with new hydraulics, and don't want an adjustable master, then I highly recommend the Wagner Master which can be found at Advance and may other part stores. If you do the slave, then no question get the Gm Upgrade that was made in 01-02. Also the Napa slaves have been know to do a great job also.

i fixed it again, but I'm pretty sure is going to do it again and is not my clutch slipping. so I may need a master and a slave. i have 63,000 miles on the car. how much would i be looking to pay for this

You doing the labor yourself? A master cylinder install is pretty easy and straighforward...the slave install is the bitch since you have to take the trans out.
