I was able to, but with the stick being as long as it is, it made everything sit really high. I took the shifter to a machine shop and had the stick cut down 2", and that made the handle sit down at a good level for me. I ended up giving the pistol grip handle to someone as sort of a gift, as I had another Ripper on the way so I could use my MBA billet "SS" **** again (the Ripper that was cut 2" shorter was too short to use with a regular **** to me). The other Ripper that was cut is now sitting in a box in case I ever get the urge...

Long story short - yes you can. I had to have my shifter cut 2" to accomodate it comfortably.

It doesn't stand particularly high...no. But put the pistol grip shifter on top of it, and you'll think you are rowing a boat. The Hurst pistol grip I had threaded at the very bottom of it, so the stick wasn't going up inside it at all. That's what made it sit so high.
