It should have the latest version in it now.
If your gonna be putting a clutch in, might as well replace it for piece of mind IMO.

I've just gotten in the habit of replacing the slave when I do a clutch swap...your 2002 car will have the latest iteration of the slave, but if it has some miles on it, there's no way I would put it back in...it is just so hard to get to if it goes out on you.
