A4 to T56 swap advice needed
Hello guys..
After giving up on 4L60E's after 3 tranies went down .. "i only have 351/355rw".
well I've decided to do a full swap. since i dont know "much" about T56. list the parts that i would need for the swap. my goal is i need a T56 that could take a beating and make it.. i wont go above 500-550 rwhp.
I've had six speed inc in mind.. but i dont know if they only do rebuild?.. i need a full trany. as i dont have a t56 to send my core back. which stage is recomended?
I have textralia clutches with steel flywheel in mind . ( i do daily bumper to bumper traffic)
any advice will be taken

That clutch will get mighty old quick in daily stop 'n go driving.
Have you looked into a built 4L65E unit instead of the crappy 4L60 series?
And did you get any info on what failed on your past three trannies?
My neighbor has killed at least that many 4L60 units with his bad habit of backing out of his driveway and shifting straight from R to D while the car's still rolling backward...autos really hate that.
