Default Comparison of f-body to GTO t-56 CHART!

I was looking for a chart like this. There didn't seem to be one, so I created my own. Hope this helps someone.

If you find any errors, please let me know.

The way I see it....1st gear +.031 = 3.73 - 2nd gear +.029 = 3.71 - 3rd gear +.013 = 3.55 - 4th gear +.00 = 3.42 - 5th gear -.26 = 3.16 and 6th gear -.44 = 2.98. Although, I'm not sure if there is a direct correlation between increased tranny ratio and the differntial gear ratio.

Oops, make that +.31 for 1st......+.29 for 2nd..... and +.13 for 3rd.

Yeah, but it's easier to understand as a percentage. Of course there's a direct correlation between increased tranny ratio and the differntial gear ratio. (sic)

No there isnt, diff gear ratio is a set value. If you have 3.42's then your diff gear ratio is always 3.42 regardless of trans ratios.

You are speaking of overalll gear ratio.

If you are switching transmissions from T56 to a M12, the values on the right are what gear ratio your car will feel like in each gear.

I have an M12 on the way, so that is what I was expecting to hear. Does it make a big difference racing-wise that you've noticed (ie times, mph, feel, etc)? Just curious.

The MN12 is better suited for N/A applications because of the lower 1st and 2nd gear ratios as the T56 is better suited for forced induction and higher powered setups . I would also say the the T56 gears should be stronger than the M12 ratio just on the ratios alone .

I'm mailing the M12 off Monday to be rebuilt by sixspeedsinc. I'm pretty excited.
