car wont go into any gears..whats the deal?

Default car wont go into any gears..whats the deal?

I get in my car and try to go for a drive and it will not go into any gears for some reason. its done it before but its been doin it the alst two days now. it seems like its getting jammed up. and i try to really get it into a gear and when i do it seems like gears are grinding from waht i hear. i dont know much about trannys so im just wondering what it is and how it can be fixed thanks.

how's your clutch pedal feel? spongy at all?

a little bit..do you think it could be air in the line...my clutch level looks pretty low

i had that happen to me before....my hydraulic fluid was toast...flushed it out..bled the system and has been fine ever since...my synchros are noisy as hell so i bet that had a little somethin to do with it. its quick and easy so it might be worth a try to flush the fluid

how does the trans shift with the engine off. is it smooth? if it is your clutch is dragging and you hydraulics need to be bled. if not its someting inside your trans.

The clutch is not releasing. Check fluid.

thanks a lot guys ive never bled a trans before but im gonna read up on the sticky..i think that is it. Thanks for the help.

Make sure you don't donate any sockets to your bellhousing.
