I think that cash could be spent on a gym membership...

Bench 200, good with the ladies, and do all your own car work without a lift a win win scenario...

where did you get that at, i have to put my tranny back in pretty soon and that looks easier than benchpressing it in place.

Nevermind, figured it out.

I built this gizmo out of FREE 2x6 and 2x12. It screws to the pad on my floorjack. My wife could pull the transission out.

I just pulled the trans myself with the jack and my arms. I couldnt get it low enough with me and the jack so had to release the jack and lower the thing onto my stomach and wiggle out from under the car. It sucked. Pressing it back up into place may be difficult.

^ that's how i've been doing it too. I have odd days off so i rarely have anyone around to help me. Trust me, putting it back in is just as much fun as you've imagined.

I stopped by harbor freight today but they didn't have the jack in stock

I've always lowered 'em onto my stomach and rolled it off, then benched it back up and used my manly, thrusting cheeks, to raise and lower the rear to line it up.

I've also used all of the above methods but I got that jack @ HF for $45 and it is the **** for 1 man trans r/r. only complaint is the cumbersome strap buckle..

"My wife could pull the transission out." - But will she??

Yep! I did the clutch in my 96Z with a floor jack and it sucked. When it came time for the clutch in my WS6 I bought that same jack. It works great!

I'd get a patent going on that being flashing pictures of it all over the internet.
