Default took out my trans today

well i pulled my trans today expecting to need a clutch but it wasnt bad at all. I did find out that my slave cracked all the way around on the inside, is this weird that happened and would that cause my peddle to have no pressure in it. I have a new clutch and slave i just want to make sure that there is no other problem with my peddle.
thanks matt

most likely that crack was probobly due to excessive heat maybe! but you will be fine now, do the drill mod and wrap the line with high heat tape too while you are at it!

I just had my trans rebuilt. I never had any issues with the slave, but once I put the trans back in, I pushed the clutch pedal to bleed, and fluid was leaking out the bellhousing. Pulled the trans back out, and the slave was cracked just like yours. It was fine before the trans was pulled. $68 slave/throwout bearing from o'reillys fixed it right up

Congrats on finding the issue. I wish all clutch problems were that clear cut in terms of a resolution. Let us know how you like the Centerforce.

ok guys i found out why the slave broke, the F@#King A$$ hole who had it last never put a piolet bearing back in after the spec install so the input shaft was just flopping around and im guessing with the wobble it crackd the slave. IM Loving the centerforce actucally its a little to touchy to drive with my cam. it definitly wants to go like hell. NEw problem has arose about a couple hours ago my oil pump is going out and it only has 800 miles on the new engine. What a bad week
