i know its prob been asked .... but I can't get anything on the search

What the difference between the LT1 & the LS1 T56 housings?

Input shaft and front plate. The bellhousing is also different...

So If I have an LT1 T56, I can change the bell Housing ,The front plate , Input shaft , It will work in an LS1 Z or TA

Mostly true. It would not work if you had a very early T56 with the 3.36 or 2.97 ratio set. You need to have the 2.66 ratio set to match these.
