Exclamation ??? No 2nd 4th, or 6th gear???

What gives...

Just driving along in 5th gear and I when I try to go to 4th it does not want to come out of 5th... I have to pull (but not too hard). Now I cannot get into 2nd, 4th or 6th. The shifter will not pull into the normal position for those gears. 1st, 3rd, 5th and Reverse all work fine???

Any Ideas???

Check to see if your shifter has stops. If it does it could have back out or moved. If you lost 2-4-6 that is very possible.

I had the same problem so I ordered a new transmission. Then all of a sudden the tranny started working just fine. Today it took a dump on me again, this time losing all gears. After a couple hundred dollars of towing and getting the car on jackstands. Everything works just fine again. I am glad I am swapping the tranny out.
