Quick clutch question.
Ok, I'm doing a swap and finishing it up right now. I got the hydros all bled (quite thoroughly) the pedal still feels really soft so I did a little test to try to see if it was disengaging properly.
The car is still on jack stands. I put the trans in first and had my brother push the clutch pedal to the floor. I turned the crank from the front with a wrench.
The back wheels still turned? Should this be happening? Doesn't make sense to me ? All I could think is that the little bit of resistance that the clutch would get from the tires being on the ground would still allow the clutch to disengage properly.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm just trying to figure out if something is wrong before I put everything back together.

Did you try pumping the clutch pedal about a zillion times quickly to get the fluid properly circulated? Sometimes on a new clutch install, especially if you replace the master and/or slave, you need to really pump the clutch pedal to get the fluid everywhere it's supposed to go. I just installed a Textralia and had this same issue. When I first got in it after the swap, the pedal basically went straight to the floor with no resistance. After about 3 minutes of pumping it hard and fast, the pressure built up and the clutch felt perfect and engaged/disengaged perfectly with no drag.
I recommend trying this.
