Default My Fourth Gear Went Out Help!
HEY GUYS MY FOURTH GEAR DOSENT WORK ON MY CAMARO SS ITS A 2000 ALL THE OTHER GEARS WORK EXCEPT FOURTH WAT COULD IT BE????

the guy i bought it from told me that it needs a new shifter supposably because their was a leaking in the fourth gear he said the tranny was good so im asking you guys to make sure???

A simple rebuild should fix your issue . Make sure to include a steel shift fork and new syncro keys (preferrably billet) in the 3-4 syncro assembly.

Six Speeds Inc. in Houston, they are a sponsor on here too. I live next door in LP and Im gonna take mine there tomorrow. 950.00 for a stage 1 rebuild if you pull the tranny and take it to them, that package hs everything you need. My tranny lost 3rd and 4th also btw...
