What rpms should I cruise at?
I am having a hard time getting good gas mileage on my trans am. 02, torquer v3, boltons, stock 3.42 rear. Granted, I do drive mostly short distances. I have been getting 11mpg the last few tanks. I am very confident my tune is very good. All low load operation, my fueling stays 14.7 or leaner and wot, it goes to 12.5.
I think I might be keeping my rpms a bit too low for max efficiency. I was taught when driving lower rpm = better gas mileage. I always try to keep the rpms at like 1000-1100 But my friend who drives a stick lt1 is always around 1500 and he gets great mileage.
Should I be holding the rpms a bit higher?

Of coarse my car is almost bone stock, but I try to keep my rpms below 2000 when cruising but without bogging it down, id say i really try to stay around 1400 or 1500 and barely touch the gas, if i start having to give it too much gas I downshift. Very nice looking TA you have there BTW

Your cam isn't a great choice for economy--but you already know that. At those RPMs you are wasting a lot of fuel as it's going through your engine un-burnt. You need to kick it up as jmm98 suggested and maybe experiment up even higher. Also, your tune could be improved for fuel economy (search on lean cruise).
