I was in a parking lot today and couldn't get my car out of 4th gear no matter how hard I tried. I wasn't driving hard or far at all and it took all my might to get it out and into neutral. I managed to get the car going again on the road and all the gears started to unstick except for 3rd. It has been three hours and it still will not go into third with the car turned off. Every other gear works fine now except 3rd which won't even let me get close to in, it seems to be completely blocked off. Any ideas?

How much do you think this will cost to get repaired at a local transmission shop in middle tennessee.

well if you take the tranny out yourself it wouldnt be so bad,dont know how trans shops are there,but down here,there high up on prices

I'm pretty short on cash right now and even shorter on time.... How long do you think I can drive with this problem without doing anymore serious damage. Maybe two hundred miles tops.

you got every other gear,just cant go into third,im in the same boat,drove the car 400 miles back through florida with no 3rd and 4th,1 and 2 on roads and 5 and 6 highway

too bad you weren't at the track with Joe and Amber from Six Speeds inc, you could pull it out and rebuild it right there! lol! that was way cool!
