Default cluster gear chatter ?

97 Z-28 six speed,104,000 miles.Just a PIA chatter out of transmission area at low R.P.M in 1st or 2nd, it's a high pitch noise like loose ball bearings inside a metal pipe. I have been told it's "cluster gear chatter" , "a common problem" and "not to worry about it,it's not hurting anything, nothing could be done about it anyway" Anybody else have it and what did u do about it ?(transmission mount already replaced, it was collapsed)

Default

My car has a nice chatter in all gears during WOT, it isn't knock, I can pinpoint it to coming from the shifter area and I can dampen it if I leave my hand on the stick. All the bolts are tight so all I can think of it's coming from within the transmission and just transfers it's way up to the stick. It's normal from what I hear and gets worse if you rebuild your transmission with stage 1 type stuff like billet keys and bronze pads etc.
