Clutch Chatter

Clutch Chatter
I recently installed a spec stage one clutch in my 99 ta and I have a LOT of chatter. Not only does it chatter bad in reverse and on takeoff but it also chatters bad on downshifts. I've only put around 250 miles on it and I know that its not good and broken in yet. I was just wondering the best way to break it in. I've read about people going easy on them for 3000 miles and still experiecing chatter. Any help would be greatly appeciated.

If you have the stock gear you can expect more chatter then if you had a different gear in it. My RAM did it and it stopped 90% after 500 miles. During the life of that clutch it still did it now and again depending on how much clutch and throttle I was using. I have also heard this happening bad for the entire life of some spec clutches as well though. Good luck I hope it goes away.

i got a spec stage 1. expect some serious chatter for the first 500 miles and expect it to decrease overtime. try not to downshift a lot or let it heat up to much. start to get on the clutch after 500 miles and make it seat in.
im at 6k miles with my spec stage 1 and still get chatter. and when the clutch is warmed up after lots of city driving, it chatters like a ****
