I'm down. I'm not racing for fear of losing my 10 bolt but I'll definately show up and tell you all how slow you are and how I could outrun you if I wanted too... j/k lol
Seriously though, pick a date, I'd love to see what other LS powered vehicles we have running around here.

Several of the GTO guys get together at the track, usually on Friday night TNT. We just can't get our **** together and all get there on the same night.
If any of you are interested, we are having a car show here at my office this Saturday the 1st, 1-5, at 7703 N. Owasso Expressway (basically 76th St. N. and 169). Computer Troubleshooters/ Interstate Battery parking lot. This will be our first show here, but we wanted to get a feel for it before we started plannig events for next year.

I will admit attendance and the quality of cars and participants hasn't been the greatest for a while.

I have never lived in a world where tulsa did not have a track.
I hope someone opens up a more street car frendly track close by. you know, something more relaxed, straight forward, and less tech issues. Last time I was there I was told my "push off" was not bright enough.
christmas tree on a closed runway with a clock will work for me.

I read about that. Are we seriously not going to have a track at all anymore? Or is someone going to make a better one or come up with a different strategy for bringing people in?

Yea, I'm a little depressed the track is closing. I'm a little confused by it too, they always have big events & good turn-out. They mentioned in the article that this year was lower attendance & blamed it on heat & gas prices. Heat I'll buy that one, cars dont like 100*+ air temps. But to close after one slow year makes one wonder where the hell all the money really went.
I'm more leaning towards the owner got greedy & offered a ton of money so he bailed on everyone layal to the racing scene here.

Almost seems like a publicity stunt. I was at Vatozone today and they were giving away tickets to the races...
Either way that track hasn't been what it needs to be or what we all want it to be for a long time. If it goes away and we dont have one for a while people might pour into one if we get a new one a few years from now. I just dont think we have a big enough gathering to support one and we rarely have any BIG events come thru.
