New Texas Mile Record!
This past weekend I witnessed this car that was touched by the hand of God and driven by SW run 241.8 mph down the Texas Mile in Goliad. Enjoy...

Good times! I'm glad I went out there Sunday to see this run first hand. Another congrats to SW!

The front end of mine gets awful light above 170mph. My steering inputs get pretty ******* precise above 140. And the ***-end gets wiggly approaching 180....Might be due to the convertible top and the negative pressure above the decklid.
I'd say he has just the right amount of money.

Thats because these cars blow ***** for highspeed stability. The f-body was never meant to go for highspeed runs. lol Might as well strap a combustion engine to an aircraft wing....thats pretty much what you're driving.

Why doesn't someone with a low 8 sec or high 7 car go out at take that record. Seems like those viper guys run a lot faster in the quarter. But maybe I am missing something.

Awesome run....but isn't he supposed to let the car cool down a bit?? I mean if I went 240MPH in a turbo car, I woulden't shut it right off lol.
I agree with whoever said that they don't like pushing over 140. Thats it for me aswell. I can't imagine 100MPH faster lol.

Damn, the #1, #2, and #3 street-car class record holders are all Supras? And they went faster than any car in the race-car class? What gives? Just a stupid stock-bodied 6-cylinder riceboy car with a giant wing and a fart can.
I'm sure a Camaro will beat that 241.8mph speed next year.
