I still think the C5 Z06 Corvette is one of the performance deals of the century and here's further proof. After some YouTube digging we found that this Z06 easily dips into the deep 9s at over 150 mph with a relatively simple and civil combo. How's the owner do it? With a 402 CI motor, a ProCharger F1R supercharger and a RPM Level 7 4l60E transmission. It's on pump gas, still breathes through an air filter and is rocking a street tune! What does all of this translate into at the drag strip? Try 9.22 @ 151 mph on a soft 1.48 60-foot!
If that's not hauling the mail with a relatively simple combo, I don't know what is? Oh yeah, I love me some CCWs, too!
Look for the main-page post soon!

Thanks!
Still trying to get a clean, 100% pass... The 9.22 was a very soft launch. The very next pass I left hard on it and it snapped a 300m axle. I figure it would have ran a 9.10@152 on a good launch (1.30 60'). I still have another 60-75hp I can tune into it as well..
Hoping for an 8.90@153 if I can keep drivetrain parts in it... Maybe next Fall..

Thanks! Too bad its not an 8.90 for your front page...
Maybe in the Fall..
I should have it back up and running by next weekend hopefully... Had to fully rebuild the rear end (the 4th time) and sent the converter out to be tightened... Hopefully she'll pick up some... for now though I am just ready to cruise it for the summer...
