Why wait 50 post or 5 months to sell?
Why does a new person on this forum have to wait 5 months or have 50 post to sell a part or car? This just makes new members post erronous questions and put junk on the forum he/she is not interested in. Some of out members may be looking for what a new member has to sell.
Me personally, I think (my vote) is to change the rule. No other forum has this rule.
just my .02 cents

This way if someone is in here for no reason other than to scam they atleast have to work for it a bit. If you are on here to be a true member of the community 50 post is nothing. imo.

I also like the rule and think it should stay. 5 months or 50 posts is not that hard of an accomplishment on this site. Besides selling stuff locally where I can do a face to face sale this is the only place I feel comfortable selling or buying stuff on the internet. Every effort is made on this site to make sure everybody is protected as much as possible.Occassionally scams do still happen here and sometimes people are still unhappy with a sale or purchase but its nowhere near as common here as it is on other sites. Thank you LS1TECH for a kickass rating and feedback section!

If you have something to sell, put it up in your regional forum. As much as I can read into the rules, it only mentions posting in the classifieds. If you sell something locally, you can't really scam someone because they're more than likely arranging to pick it up from you. Don't know if this is allowed, but I don't see any mention against it.

Ive bought and sold off of other sites... one of them connected to this site.... only had one other problem and they actually came back 6 months later and resolved the issue.
since I dont normally use ls1tech, I dont have a trader rating here, and dont expect to have one. IDK why performacetrucks doesnt have one when these two sites are so closely related....
Im just a little POed... he wont answer PM's and its been so long.

Keep the 50/5 rule. If you want to sell stuff here, participate. Otherwise, take an ad out in your local paper.
I get an idea what kind of person I'm dealing with by reading their old posts. It lets me have some confidence they won't rip me off.
Nobody mentioned it yet... but this rule also keeps people who just want to use the forum as free advertising from selling their entire junkyard through here.

I've seen a few forums where you can't sell anything unless you have been approved by a moderator, which usually means a moderator either has to know you in-real-life and/or you have to have several references that will back you up that are also deemed 'trustworthy'. 6 months or 50 posts is a good idea, may not keep out all, but will definitely keep out some.
