Flowmaster
So I saw this vid in youtube. I love the sound it makes, his exhaust setup. the only difference is instead of a y pipe, Im going x pipe to turn it into duals. I searched in summit racing for the flowmaster chamber 1 exhaust, but a different name appears, example, flowmaster delta force one chamber race mufflers. can anyone tell me which specific muffler it is?

I know right. I like it as well. reason im sticking to that setup is because I live here in cali. so yea.
I mean, Im definately gonna go for the Pacesetter LTs, High flow cats, and a x pipe, but Im trying to figure out which chamber 1 exhaust is this. I think theres 3 different ones.
any other recommendations would be fine.

In cali you can not legally change the cats from OEM or move them from the OEM location (ex. LTs). I'm not trying to bust your *****, but before you spend the cash make sure you have a place that will fudge your inspection or you'll have one sweet garage queen.

Kinda sounds like my Borla... why not just get a decent sounding exhaust, and then put a electric cutout on it? I did that with my Borla adjustable, I have a QTP electric cut out where the adjustable plate goes on the Borla setup. I can run loud or louder depending on a flip of a switch.

Sick. I love cutouts. well I want pacesetter LTs. So your saying I cant move em. then what do I do If I want to run Pacesetter LTs?
Well I want a sick legal exhaust setup.

x pipe, cutouts, and duals. I saw this other vid which I really really liked.

if u want pacesetter LT's those are ilegal in california, the only thing you can do is shorties. but what i would do is get the LT's and get some cats put on (make sure there OBDII cats) and then when you take it for smog im sure the guy wont do the under body inspection to see where the cats are placed, most of those guys are lazy anyway

oh ok. I see. well they guy I took it too last time, just opened the hood, and read the sticker, thats about it. nothing else. but um. if pacesetter lts are not legal in LA, then what other option do i have when it comes to another header thats the same as pacesetter. I really like pacesetter. do you know where I can find information on the OBDII cats?

If u are thinking about lts than say bye to "smog legal" if ur gonna get lts than don't even bother with the cats...find out if someone can "hook you up" on the smog thing before u spend ur money on lts... I wouldn't even bother with shorties... They are expensive for how lil hp u get... If u don't mind spending about 1000 dollars on some smog legal headers.... I THINK the slp longtubes might be smog legal in some states... Not sure about here in ca...but they are 1000 bucks....so.... Yeah... Just my .2 cents

There are no good "legal" setups. It is against federal EPA regs to ever move the cats from the stock location, so technically, no matter where you live, LTs are illegal on these cars.
But the good news is, most states don't give a ****, and USEPA inspectors will never come to check your car out.
CA inspections are intense compared to what we get in IL. Here, '96+ cars get a quick OBD scan; no sniffer, no visual of any kind. If you pass the scan, you pass the test...cats or not. '95 and earlier cars are exempt from any sort of testing.

the reason I prefer Lts is because alot of people in here say that shorties arent worth the money, and performance wise as well.
I thought that by installing LTs, and high flow cats you should be able to pass smog. I guess not. well Ill see what I can do.
I might just remove that stock y pipe, throw in a x pipe and duals, and keep the stock manifolds and cats. =/
