Default 6.0 swap

ok so i know with the ls trucks u can just swap the motor to a 6.0 with out changing the computer or wireing can i do that with my camaro the stock 5.7 has alot of miles and just looking to swap the short block... any advise?

You'll need a knock sensor harness extension and an extension for the cam sensor. I think Katech sells a kit for this purpose. You must use LS2 knock sensors. They are different between the LS1 and LS2. Other than that, I think everything else is pretty much plug and play. You'll have to use your oil pan also. If I'm forgetting anything here folks, feel free to pitch in.

Depends on the year of the block. If you are putting an iron LQ4/9 motor in, you can put it right in. You need to move your intake and accessories over to the 6.0L and drill one hole for the alternator bracket. Other than that, it should go right in.

Local guy swapped in a 04 Escalade motor and the car ran fine for about 6 mths...think the torque differance eventually took its toll because he snapped the output shaft off...
