about to buy ws6 question
Hi, im looking at a ws6 and I found one that has 40k miles and was driven by a 1 owner woman. I asked if she used synthetic oil and she said "No I would never use synthetic oil in anything." My question is, can that hurt the engine? or do you think it is still good to buy.

If it's changed when it was supposed to be then it's all good. Now if she ran conventional oil in there for long periods of time, I'd be a little more concerned. Once you use synthetic though, you can't go back to conventional...

Yes so was I. I thought when I called for the car that it was her husbands and she was just answering the phone, but it was hers.... I think im going to pass on it though because it looks like where the headgasket is on the passenger side that oil or something is like seeping out, because its like stained there pretty good

This is an incorrect rumor. Plain and simple it's pure bullshit.
I'd look more closely at this, because there is a good chance that the staining is seepage from a slight valve cover gasket leak that's running down the side of the block. If so, mine has this, and it's not a big deal at all and shouldn't stop you from buying the car.

I just dont want to take a chance and have to end up dumping money into it. It definetly was wet and even if it is the valve cover its still something that I dont want to deal with. I'll eventually find one

If you're holding out for a "perfect" car, then forget about LS1 F-bodies. The newest one is 8 years old, just about any one of them will need some level of work, just like any 8 year old used car. I'm not saying you should buy a basket case, but you'll have to accept some level of imperfection with cars of this age. Otherwise stick to buying new cars. A valve cover gasket is not even close to a big deal. But if it was the head gasket then I'd walk away too.
