Default Will it be ok to drop from 3" pipe to a 2" glasspack?

Long story short, I just got my LT's on, LS6 intake on, new plugs and wires, and an ory.

I need to get some type of muffler on there so I am not so loud for now. I understand a glasspack dumped is still going to be hella loud, but it will be better than open headers until I can afford/ figure out what system I want to go with.

I have a 2" cherry bomb glasspack sitting around... Yeah i know.. Anywho, i was wondering if it would hurt to go from the 3" y pipe to the 2" glasspack?

It will only be for a month or so until I get something different.

Thanks!!!

No problem, you can run it. However, let me say, there isnt much difference between a cherry bomb glasspack and dynamax or whatever. They are all about the same design. However 2 inch is

Will the 2" sound like crap? Like I said I don't plan on keeping it that way, its just a temp resolution. Will I lose alot of power dropping to the 2" from 3"? Will it choke it out?

No it will run fine, it will just likely be a little down on power during the upper rpms.

is good to go from small to big
or equal size wen it comes to an exhaust.

i have a dynomax bullet and car would sound deep and strong (loud)
now i have the complete exhaust system 3'' all the way back, and all the vibrations went away car sounds deep but has a race car sound which i like (still usin the bullet) also the longer the bullet the more deep would sound.
