TSP L/Ts to SLP Loudmouth?
Hi,
I'm posting up a question to help out my buddy.
He has a '98 Trans am A4. It's getting rebuilt at the moment.
He has just had a set of Texas Speed & Performance ceramic coated longtube headers fitted.
The car already had an SLP Loudmouth catback with the stock manifolds.
Now the guy at the shop says that he can't get the L/Ts to fit to the SLP catback. I asked if he couldn't just fabricate a Ypipe to fit but the guy says no, the catback CANNOT be made to fit and he'll need a new catback to match up with his new headers.
Now does this make sense to anybody or does it sound like bull?
I don't want him to waste money on a new system if the slp catback can still be used.
Thanks for reading guys, any help appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, that's what I thought. No need for a new catback, just a new Ypipe.

Gentlemen...
Please don't turn this thread into another argument about your opinion on Loudmouth Catback with LTs/ORY.
The O.P. asked a question about whether or not you can mate a set of Longtubes to the SLP Catback and many have stepped up to give the correct answer. Which is "Yes". You simply need a Y-pipe. Lets leave it at that and stop beating the dead horse.
To the O.P...
The above quote has everything your friend needs to get his exhaust put together. Have him give Texas Speed a call and order one of their Y-pipes (either Catted or Off Road Y).
My brother put one of their ORY's on his SS and is very pleased with quality and fitment.
Good luck, man.
