Drop the pan, change the filter, refill with DexIII. Should be just fine.

I did not flush mine when I did it at 70k. Just did the pan drop and filter change. I'll probably do that again now that I'm almost at 100k.

That's what I did on mine when it had around 60k.
I use regular ol' ATF(DexIII)
But, I changed my pan to a nice cheap *** aluminum one off eGay. It only cost 40 Bucks. It came with a new gasket and it has a drain plug.
It also made my pulling the stock pan procedure much easier. No spilling of ATF all over the place, I just punched a hole in it and waited for it to drain.
Since I am set on keeping my Camaro until I croak, I drain the ATF out of the pan every other oil change. Yeah, it's not a flush. But ****, it keeps my fluid pretty much new.

Yep.
Drain plugs are very nice to have. If you can get a pan off a truck 4L60E, it should have a factory drain plug (plus larger fluid capacity). Or at least some of them did. I used to have one for my Trans Am that came off a 2000 Suburban, deep GM pan with plug.
I don't think that's possibile. I mean, you could removed the trans and pull the converter, then drain it manually. But the lines and cooler would be a trick.
