Where is it coming from? Underneath, or on top of the motor? Or is it under the car?

Man..can you post a video of it. Anyone on here could guess several different things, but someone may be able to narrow it down a little better if you had a video of it.

Where is/are your muffler(s)? If it sounds like its coming from them it might just be a broken baffle. Happened to me, drove me crazy cause I thought something on the body was loose.

out of curiosity... did that rattling noise sound almost like something was rubbing your driveshaft and only happen once in a while when driving at low speeds?? cause that's an issue I'm having and I can't narrow it down.

if its at idle it could be your y-pipe banging on your transmission cross member. mine does the same thing under low rpms too. try putting it in neutral when it does it again and see if it stops. it might not be the transmission just because that would vibrate

Gotta love that GM feeling! If i had a $1 for every rattle...... id have at least $6! My e-brake handle, ash tray lid, muffler heat shield, strange one at high rpm(still havent figured that one out), driverside window when half way down, and something near the back hatch when bass hits! unfortunatly these cars arent made like a mercedes but they are f*cking fun to drive!
