Default What sensor is this? With pic

I can not get my car to start so I go through the basics starter, fuses, relays,VATS and nothing seems to work. Took the starter in to get tested and it works great. When I was installing it I found this sensor in my oil pan with wires that have been pulled out. Could this cause my car to not engage the starter?[IMG][/IMG]

That appears to be your oil level sensor and if its hooked up anything like the oil pressure it should prevent it from starting on a low oil situation

If its not hooked up like this one is it should not turn over? I know there is oil in the car because I just did the oil change like 500 miles ago.

Mine is not hooked up but the car still starts and drives. The red "Low Oil" light will be on in the gauges though.
