tb getting stuck open at wot
randomly when i go wot it will get stuck there, it only happens every now and then. i hit the gas and it just keeps going even when i let off the gas peddle. i have to stop the car pop the hood and flip the throttle and it will fix the problem. any idea what is causing this to happen my guess is i have to much slack in the cable but not real sure how to adjust it.

When's the last time you cleaned the TB? Idk if too much slack would cause it to wedge open, maybe the cable is too tight? It sounds like it's being pulled too hard causing the TB blades to rotate too far and they get stuck.

Stock TB or is it an aftermarket? This happened with some of the earlier FAST 90 TB. The blade would stick and in order to fix the issue the inside of the TB would need to be sanded down where the blade was hitting. No saying this is your problem, just throwing it out there.

well there is an adjustment in the cable itself, just follow the cable from the throttlebody back. has the throttlebody ever been taken apart? for maybe knife edging the blade or porting? if so it could be the blade making contact inside the throttle body. simply loosen the bolts on the shaft and move the blade ever so slightly. hope that helps. mine stuck too and it was making contact inside the throttlebody

There is a tang that should stop the blade before it
travels over center. Grinding this excessively could let
the blade go over center where airflow can hold it. If
you do not feel an engine-off bind that accounts for
sticking, check blade max opening by the tape. If it
is capable of swinging over center, then shim the stop
back out (suggest wrapping with wire, or drill & tap for
a stop-screw).
