Hi all, I’m new here and looking for GMP LS1 ECM help. I just bought a discontinued GM Performance crate engine, 25534322, LS1, 5.7L, new in the crate from a dealership in Las Vegas. Not sure, but it may be the last one around, was discontinued in 2008. This GMP engine kit comes with a flex plate, ECM (12480112), and ECM harness (12480113) that is setup for a 4L60E automatic transmission. I plan on dropping this into a 1992 Miata, but with a T56 6 speed transmission. It says in the “Installation Guide” that this ECM will not work in a production vehicle, so does that mean the ECM won’t be readable by normal means since it’s a performance/hot rod application ECM? I would like to use the 4L60E but from what I can find out, there would be a fit issues with the 4L60E rather than the T56, tunnel mods. Which brings me to wonder what to do with the ECM and how to program it for the T56. Does anyone have any experience with this GMP crate engine ECM? Also, what about the harness? What changes would have to be made to it? Thanks and hope I did this right, first time! Duffy
