Default exhaust help

I have a 99 Camaro with pacesetter headers
and when I get on it sounds like cans.it didn't do that when
stock headers.WTF

Headers make the car louder plus if you removed the cats it would even be louder.

Should have done your YouTube homework. You can get a pretty close guess as to what it will sound like. What catback system you got?

Headers = higher air flow = louder.

To mute the sound a bit, make sure you have catalytic converters installed. The SLP exhaust is LOUD, so that will not help your issue at all. Most people recommend Magnaflow or Hooker catback for a more subtle sound. Do some research at www.ls1sounds.com for a lot of combinations of headers/cats(no cats)/catback. There or YouTube.

Yes, cats make a big difference in the sound. really cut back on the rasp.
