1998 camaro possible blown head gasket?
i tend to worry alot about my car but i just checked where i put my oil in and its got white gunk all over it never seen it before but it has high flow cats and borla duals and it always has a steam to it when idling but quits if i rev it ... i havnt noticed it losing no power or anything one bit or even running weird. but i just filled it back up with coolant and i checked it today before i started my car and the radiator was half full.. is there anyother forsure way to tell if i got a blown gasket the oil on the dipstick is fine its just black no water or white coloring to it .

By the way this is about the 3rd time ive had to add coolant but ive noticed when i had it jacked up it leaked a liquid and it smelled like anti freeze so i think that could be it i do alot of short trips andd someone told me you can get the white stuff under the oil cap is this true?

drain the oil.. pretty easy to tell if there is water in it...
you can even just run it for a bit and look at the dip stick, should have milky oil on it..
id just pressure test the system if its using coolant..

No they have the tools to rent to do it but they will not do it.
An engine makes moisture, when its only driven on short trips you will get the white gunk on the oil cap.
