Hey all when I pulled my engine 5.3L 99 1500 the trans was already gone. It is missing the starter and the trans to engine bolts, plus the starter plate ( is that what it's called?) and the plate thingy that covers the bottom of the flex plate. My questions are what starters will work? Do I need the starter plate and if so what all works for it? Can I use grade 8 bolts from lowe's or something ghetto like that for the trans to engine bolts? Length and pitch? Can i just order new ones from GM? Part #? Where and what is the plate thing called that goes on the bottom of the engine between the oil pan and covers the flex plate? I plan to use a 700R4 if that helps. Thanks and sorry for the lack of knowledge but we start somewhere.
