Hi i am new to the forums and based on what i have so far explored thru the site, i decided to start a project to replace my LQ9 6.0 engine on my 2002 Escalade AWD. Current mods on the truck are ported intake and TB, Airaid cold air intake and TB spacer, shorty stainless steel headers, true dual exhaust with x pipe, magnaflow cats and flowmasters, e-fans conversion and HP tuned. I have about 145k miles on original engine. After doing some reading on the forums and seeing other members projects, i came across a deal locally in my area and decided to pursue it......a 2012 Escalade L94 6.2 engine with 30k miles at a very unresistable price (2K)...engine was complete minus the intake manifold, accessories and harnesses. This engine came with the VVT and AFM/DOD stuff which i am getting rid of and decided to purchase the necessary parts to do so...lS7 lifters w/trays, double roller timing set and ls2 cover, 3 bolt bullet racing cam 223/234 .625, btr .650 dual valve spring kit, hardened 7.425 pushrods as well as L92 intake w/ fuel injectors, rails and tb. Forgot to mention that i also got a 24x reluctor wheel to replace the 58x on the 6.2 plus harness adapters/extensions. The only issue i have now is that when i removed the oil pan to get to the crankshaft, one of the main bearing/journal close to the front of where timing cover goes have some scoring/scratching. Check the entire engine for damages but all seems to be ok. I took the crankshaft to a shop and they said is fixable...just needs to be cut (20 i believe) and be good to go. Getting a new crank is expensive...do you think i should have it fixed or should i run a 4" stroke crank and run it with the factory rods and pistons? I honestly didn't planned on this happening with my 6.2 deal/project. Any ideas or advices will be appreciated...Thanks
