Do a search in the "Appearance" section for "headlight mod" or "smoked headlight" or "painted headlight" and you'll find plenty of threads including a write-up.

I did it awhile back... All I did is take the headlights off the car, take a heat gun & heat here the seem is, Where the lens connects to the headlight assembly... Then pry gently with a screwdriver.. make sure to take your time if you dont you will crack the lens... Once I got it apart I taped off just the background, Then I used a satin black sparypaint..I didnt want anything shiny, But to each his own.. I put a good 3 to 4 coats on.. Let that dry.. Then I used a silcone, type adhesive.. to glue the lens back together... I know there were other ways this could be done, this just so happens to be the easiest that work for me.. If you would like to try another way just do a search in the apperance section.... Alot of people have done this... I also might that it looks BADASS!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey 99pewterZ28, do you happen to have any pics of the headlights on your car? I have a sebring silver Z and am planning on doing this to my lights, but want a rough estimate of what it will look like.

cool, thanks. I want them to look like the ones that Arachnotron posted the link too. You said you used satin black right, so it isnt the same as flat which is what I thought you used.?
Also with the heat gun, was it quick to melt down the silicon, and did the headlight look like it might melt in any place? How far did you hold it from the light? I dont think putting my headlight in an oven is too smart. So I am going the heat gun route too.

Glad those helped. I know I have more/better pics. somewhere on my computer I just cant find them.. I followed the same steps that Arachnotron posted, I used a heat gun instead of an oven. Goodluck man, Vann
