Broke TA girdle bolt...
The two black nuts on both sides of the TA letters on the Ta girdel - I tightened the nut to try to stop leaking fluid and I broke the end of the bolt off. I can no longer fit a nut on the end of the bolt becuase it broke the end clean off. What will happen if I leave it like this- do I need to fix it?

That's one lame bolt. But, those jam-nuts are not
meant to bear a lot of load. RTV on a dry case
would be the way to go I expect. That, or maybe
there are some paper gasket rings you could use.
The likely effect is that the preload stud (which
I think is what you're talking about) may back out
and eliminate the preload which is the main purpose
of having that girdle cover. So you're back to a
stock setup, plus leak.
I'd say to order up a pair of replacement studs,
and reinstall the cover when they arrive.
