475 HP 2000 SS or Firehawk or WS6
Basically, I can get one of these for about the same price/mileage etc.
I really like that the SS has all the work already done. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Half the fun of owning these cars is learning about them, doing your own work, and figuring out how to make them go faster. They're fast as hell stock, but making them any faster is just that much more fun. The Firehawk is a bit more rare, but its all up to personal preferance really. I prefer the WS6 over the 'hawk myself, as I'm getting a WS9 hood for my T/A in the future.
Anyhow, you really can't go wrong no matter which you decide. Good luck with your decision, and welcome to the board. You're in the right place for information for these beasts.

Decisions...decisions?!?!?
That's a tough call!!! I would say, follow what you like for body style. Let's face it though, THEY"RE ALL LS1 POWERED, so you CAN'T go wrong!!!! Although, that 475hp SS sounds awfully tempting!!! GOOD LUCK & post pics of her when you get her!!!!

I agree, I love the WS6 look over the other two. I know it's not 475 HP, but I love the look. The only reason I would get the SS is b/c of the #'s. But, it wouldn't be the exact car I wanted, although I do like the SS's.
I will post once I get my hands on soemthing. The dealer friend of mine is working on possibly a 01 WS6.

Thats why keeping the stock parts around after upgrading is a good idea. ****, I'm not going to miss out on the fun.

All about what you want man, for real. We can go all day long on what everybody else likes (me, I'm the Camaro type), but it's what YOU want to drive. The camaro's are a little more business, and the Firebirds are a little more luxury. Both have huge kahona's though, and you'll be happy with any of them. It sounds like you're in what we call a "win/win" situation. Good Luck making your decision. And while it may be premature, "Welcome to LS1Tech.com"

Hell I would say get the ss, and just replace the rear with a 9inch and your pretty much done. I prefer the ss to the other 2 though. Go with what your heart desires.

That's exactly why I didn't get a Hawk. It took me a long time to decide between the WS6 and Hawk. I just wouldn't feel right modding a Hawk. Plus, I didn't want a garage queen.

Yeah, I know the 02's will be worth more in the future, but an 01 is wayyyy cheaper. I wish I had the money. I am dead set on the WS6. I want nothing but.
Can't wait to find one.
