ROTFLMAO!

Damn I didnt know they still did that stupid ****. My brothers old 93 Z28 only had the 115mph speedo so I knew it had it on it. You need to remove the top speed limiter. A bypass module is pretty cheap.

if you have the QCB RPO code it means your car came with the non speed rated 235's and your limiter is set @ ~118mph. you'll need to add speed rated tires and then remove the limiter with hpp3, hptuner, predator or edit.

What jrp said.

Another way you can tell is if you have a steel driveshaft (I believe).

Peace,
Craig.

No steel DS means you have 2.73 gears not top speed limited!

I think he already found out that he has a speed limiter near 115MPH. Just get it taken out and find him again.

Any chance you were in 3rd gear and hit your rev limiter?

99ta , DMNSPD- I know all about the A4's - 2.73's having them, because I had one. But if you have a speed limiter then you have a steel driveshaft, I know my buddy with a '99 M6 Z28 had that. I could be wrong.

Maybe we can talk grubby98 into looking at his and let us know what it is? lol

Peace,
Craig.

Mine came stock with an aluminum. Also came with z rated wheels which allowed the speed limiter to be higher.

My 2001 Z28 6 speed came with the 118 mph limiter and the steel driveshaft. Yes, it has 3.42 gears, and after researching, I've found that a number of 2001/2002 6 speeds came with the steel driveshaft. I had a friend with HPTuner, so we removed the 118 limiter. I also hit the speed limiter unexpectedly on a deserted country road, surprised the heck out of me. To tell you the truth, I probably should have left it in. I have no reason to run over 100 mph, I'm just asking for a really BIG ticket!
