Just wondering if anyone could help me with this, I'm still a novice with engines so any help would be appreciated. Everytime I start my ws-6 for the first 5 min or so there is a loud squeaking noise coming from the engine compartment. After the engine warms up, the noise stops. I believe it is coming from my belt, but when I looked at the belt there is no cracks or frays on it. Should I replace the belt anyways or should I start looking at maybe all the puleys. The noise sounds like its coiming from the area around the belt tensioner. I tried applying some belt dressing to it, but the weird thing is that made the noise louder. Thanks in advance.

Could be the belt squealing or it could be the bearings in the tensioner pulley. Try replacing the belt first.

I heard belt dressing was a BAD thing to use, temporary solution for a permanent problem

The above posts were good, but I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the water pump. Good luck.
