Question new f-body, i need some modding help

I recently purchased a 1998 Firebird Formula. I want to make this thing a beast. Right now the only thing I really want to do is take the 0-60 from 5.3 to 4.6. After that is done I want my 1/4 mile to be in the 11s. Any suggestions? I' m still kind of new with cars but i've always wanted a f-body.

Gears should get your 0-60 where you want.

then cam + headers should get you into the 11's.

If its an auto, do a stall, that will take off about .5 in your 1/4 mile time, and most of that will be out of your 60foot.

As with all things, it totally depends on the wallet. How much are you looking to spend, and how drivable / reliable do you want the car?

I agree. There is more than one way to do it. So, what do you want in the end?

Drag Radials are great at the drag strip but not the best in many street driving conditions. A torque convertor will give you a higher stall which is great for a launch on drag radials (not so great on the 10 bolt). Money will play a factor as well.

IMO I would start with gears and exhaust and intake and some good street tires. Also, do you have any Mods already?
