Default A4 center console lights

Is there a light bulb in the center console for the gears for an A4? ( P, N, R, OD, D, 2, 1) How do they light up at night?

Yes there is a small bulb that plugs into the base of the shift indicator panel.

My light went out a couple of weeks ago. I also am afraid that it will break in my fingertips because that little bastard doesn't want to come out! If I looked up the information right, the light should be a 73. You can double check me on www. sylvania.com and you do a vehicle search and it will list a full page of lights by category. I think it was listed under Automatic Transmission Indicator. Hope this helps.

That happened to me when I got my first F-body ('87 Camaro). Drove around for MONTHS with no light there when I first got it, often turning the overhead light on before backing up because I was 16 and wanted to make sure I had it in the right gear before gassing it. Then my buddy got one too and I was like "Whoa! The console lights up!"
