Is 71k miles something I should worry about?

Is 71k miles something I should worry about?
I'm looking at a Blackk 2000 WS6, six speed manual, black leather, for $13,500. Comes with a three month warranty. Only thing that has me worried is the 71,000 miles. The car is physically in excellent condition, and runs amazingly now. I am basically asking if this is a good price for what I'm getting, and whether or not it will continue to run flawlessly in the future?

In my opinion, that's nothing to be worried about. Just do the best you can to make sure that it was maintained properly by the previous owners.
I bought my '01 Trans Am a year ago for $12k with 76,000 miles, it now has almost 106,000 miles and is still going strong!

I bought mine with 98k miles. The only problem that caught me by suprise was the rear-end. I replaced the alt. even though it may not have needed it. I was having electrical issues, just trying to troubleshoot. It's been cammed for quite some time. The previos owner installed the tsp231/237 cam in it about 8,000 miles ago. The owner before him had a 218/220 or something like that , who know's how long that was in there. I just put in the comp 224/224 in ~100 miles ago (Friday)

nothing to be worried about...you are gonna have some problems the same as you would with any vehicle that starts racking up miles.....but there are lots of people on here with 100,000 plus miles on their cars and they are just starting to throw in some performance ****! I bought my car new but it now has 77,000 and i put a cam in about 4,000 miles ago....no problems... i wouldn't worry about the miles...especially if they are mostly highway miles! Good luck!!

It seems as there are a lot of people that post here with well over 100,000 miles on their LS-1's that don't have any problems whatsoever and they run them hard too.
Anything used is a gamble to a point, but, imo, if it seems to run smooth, brakes in a straight line and the steering is tight it would probably be okay. 71,000 miles is not that many. My other toy is a full size bronco with 214,000 miles on it. I abuse the hell out of it! With plenty of wot runs threw deep mud on 36 in tires up hills, down hills, everything else you can imagine. No problems. Still fires right up every time.

I have 135k here w/the mods in the sig being on for 25k of that, bought the car w/99k on it, i havent had any problems, well except from a casting problem from the day it was made (only a 97-98 ls1 issue, and mine was 1 of a handful in 98 ) i'd kill to have a 80k car so dont worry about it man
777- just wondering, why did you pull the TSP cam for a 224?

You can never be absolutely sure what you're getting.
Having said that, to me it's just getting broken in good.
